NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO ISSUE SUPPLEMENTAL COURT OFFICER’S DEED To: Jerome Dawson and the heirs, beneficiaries, and/or successors in interest of the late Kendall E. Dawson. Notice is given that an application has been filed in the Iowa District Court for Linn County in Probate Cause No. ESPR022133 regarding the Estate of Irene LaVonne Dawson, deceased, for the issuance of a supplemental court officer’s deed. On June 7, 1994, a court officer’s deed was issued in the Estate of Irene LaVonne Dawson, deceased, by then executor Kendall E. Dawson in favor of Maive Ashley, Merle Betzer, Marty Betzer, and Miche Betzer for the following described real estate in Jones County, Iowa: Commencing on the West side of the Military Road 6 feet Southwesterly of the Southeast corner of Lot 12, Ormsby’s First Addition to the Town of Martelle, Iowa; thence Southwesterly on the West line of the Military Road 144 feet; thence at a right angle in a Westerly direction 120 feet, more or less, to the East line of lands condemned by the State of Iowa for highway purposes; thence Northeasterly parallel with the West line of the Military Road 144 feet; thence at a right angle Easterly 120 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning. The Estate of Ms. Dawson has been reopened and Maive Ashley has been appointed executor thereof. She has filed an application for authority to issue a court officer’s deed to supplement the court officer’s deed referenced above to include in the conveyance the following described Jones County, Iowa real estate: Commencing on the West side of Military Street 150 feet South of the Southeast corner of Lot 12, Ormsby's First Addition to the Town of Martelle, Iowa; thence Southwesterly on the West line of Military Street 29 feet; thence at a right angle in a Westerly direction 120 feet, more or less; to the East line of lands condemned by the State of Iowa for highway purposes; thence Northeasterly parallel with the West line of Military Street 29 feet; thence at a right angle Easterly 120 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning. Notice is given that unless an objection is filed to Ms. Ashley’s application for authority to issue a supplemental court officer’s deed within 30 days of the third publication of this notice, the court in the routine disposition of court business will authorize Ms. Ashley to execute and deliver the supplemental court officer’s deed. Objections must be in writing and either filed with, mailed to or filed electronically with the Linn County Clerk of Court whose mailing address is P.O. Box 1468, Cedar Rapids, IA 52406-1468.
