NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND SOLICITATION OF PUBLIC COMMENTS ON THE MARICOPA HOME CONSORTIUM PY2023 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN (YEAR 4 OF 5)Maricopa Urban County and the Maricopa HOME Consortium will hold two public hearings for the purpose of obtaining citizen input and comment on the draft PY2023 Annual Action Plan (AAP). The Maricopa HOME Consortium consists of Maricopa County (lead agency) and the municipalities of Avondale, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Scottsdale, Surprise, Tempe, and Maricopa Urban County. The Urban County consists of approximately 10 incorporated cities and towns, 15 unincorporated communities, and the balance of unincorporated Maricopa County. ANNUAL ACTION PLAN 2023 The AAP refers primarily to the housing and community development needs, intended uses of HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) resources by the Urban County and Maricopa HOME Consortium in PY2023, as well as Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) resources of the Urban County for PY2023. Note: All funding recommendations listed in the draft AAP may be calculated on anticipated funding amounts based on prior grant awards. If so, the proposed plan will include detailed contingency provisions to explain how the amounts will be adjusted once actual allocations are released. Funding levels for PY2022 are shown below as an example, and final PY2023 recommendations are subject to change upon receipt of allocation from HUD: Funding levels for PY2022 are shown below: $5,136,058 - HOME $2,836,377 - CDBG $242,987 - ESG The draft AAP also includes an estimated amount of HOME Program Income totaling approximately $770,000 that will be programmed to HOME-eligible activities by Consortium members in PY2023. The Program Income amount in the AAP is subject to update based on contingency provisions to reflect additional funds received. In addition, the members of the Consortium will prepare AAPs for their respective jurisdictions with separate public hearings and 30-day comment periods. Each member's AAP include: housing and non-housing community development needs and strategies; the detailed use of CDBG and ESG (if applicable to the member); and information on past performance.
